PRAYAGRAJ, July 21 -- The Prayagraj unit of the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) arrested two alleged narcotics traffickers and seized 100 kilograms of illegal cannabis (ganja) with an estimated market value of around Rs 50 lakh during a special operation in Kaushambi district. The ANTF also recovered a car, one mobile phone, and Rs 500 in cash from the accused. The arrests were made near Baripur village under the jurisdiction of Kokhraj police station in Kaushambi on Monday. The accused have been identified as Mohd. Ayaan and Rahul Kumar, both residents of Kuthi village in Fatehpur district. Following the seizure, the police registered a case under Sections 8, 20, 29 and 60 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at Kokhraj police station and initiated further legal proceedings. They told investigators that they worked for a person based in Fatehpur, who instructed them to procure and transport cannabis from Odisha for distribution in Uttar Pradesh....
