Agra, Oct. 28 -- The Department of Niswan wa Qabalat, Ajmal Khan Tibbiya College, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), in collaboration with the Department of Social Work, organised a "Breast Cancer Awareness Walk" on the AMU campus to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month, observed globally throughout October. The walk, which began from the University Duck Point and concluded at Bab-e-Syed, aimed to spread awareness about breast cancer prevention, early detection, and to express solidarity with patients and survivors. At Bab-e-Syed, Prof Suboohi Mustafa, Chairperson, Department of Niswan wa Qabalat, emphasised the importance of breast cancer awareness and the need for early diagnosis and preventive healthcare. She highlighted that awareness and education play a crucial role in reducing the disease burden and improving health outcomes. Dr Fahmeeda Zeenat, Coordinator of the Awareness Walk, elaborated on the objectives of the event, stating that such initiatives empower individuals to seek timely medical advice and help remove the stigma associated with breast health. As part of the programme, postgraduate students performed a short skit led by Dr Tuba Razi, with the participation of Dr Abiha Ahmad Khan and Dr Fahmeeda Zeenat.
