Lucknow, May 15 -- The Uttar Pradesh appointment and personnel department on Thursday issued an order for selection proceedings regarding posts to be filled through promotion in various departments. In a letter to additional chief secretaries, secretaries, head of various state government departments, divisional commissioners and district magistrates, M Devraj, principal secretary, appointments and personnel, said, a DPC module has been developed on Manav Sampada Portal to facilitate online departmental promotion committee (DPC) meetings. A detailed guideline for conducting seniority and merit-based selections through the Manav Sampada Portal, along with accompanying standard operating procedures (SOPs) have been already issued by the state government, he said. According to the Uttar Pradesh Recruitment Year Replacement Rules, 2026, the selection year 2026-2027 is limited to the period commencing from July 1, 2026, and ending on December 31, 2026, and the selection year 2027 is for the period from January 1, 2027, to December 31, 2027, of the calendar year, he said. The state government has decided that all promotions will be conducted online through the Manav Sampada Portal. Selection processes conducted through means other than the DPC module developed on the Manav Sampada Portal will not be valid, he said. Regarding vacancies to be filled by promotion that fall within the purview of the Public Service Commission, the process of sending requisitions to the Public Service Commission should also be completed, he said....
