Lucknow, June 17 -- Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav attacked the BJP government on Tuesday, demanding a high-level judicial inquiry into alleged massive corruption in corridor projects, road-widening schemes, and even the offerings made at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Addressing the media in Lucknow on Tuesday, Yadav alleged that every infrastructure project undertaken by the BJP regime - including expressways and road expansion works - was marred by large-scale scams. He called for a multi-member judicial commission to investigate these projects and insisted that no one involved, including trustees, committee members, bureaucrats, or development authority officials, should be spared. "Such big scams can only happen with the active collusion of all these stakeholders," he said. Yadav further demanded a probe into the "black money and immense wealth" accumulated by officials and contractors associated with these projects over the past few years. He suggested that the investigation should be conducted under the watchful eyes of common citizens, honest journalists, and multi-party representatives. Accusing the BJP government of "unparalleled corruption", the he claimed that no department or sector in Uttar Pradesh has remained untouched by graft. "Budget loot is routine, and now even the sacred offerings at Ayodhya's Ram Temple have been plundered," he alleged. Describing the BJP as a "gang" rather than a political party, Yadav said party workers were indulging in organised corruption. "The BJP deceives religion, spreads darkness, lies to people, and betrays public trust. It is destroying democracy to remain in power through dishonesty," he alleged. htc...
