Ajanta Hospital performs first robotic prostate cancer surgery
LUCKNOW, May 26 -- Doctors at Ajanta Hospital conducted their first Robotic Radical Prostatectomy with Bilateral Pelvic Lymph Node Dissection (PLND) for carcinoma prostate, marking a significant advancement in robotic surgical care at the hospital. The procedure was performed under the guidance of Dr Anil Khanna, director, laparoscopic and robotic surgery, and was successfully carried out by Dr Neeraj Agarwal, MS, MCh (Urology), endoscopic, laparoscopic and robotic urosurgeon at Ajanta Hospital. The patient had presented with urinary symptoms and, following detailed clinical evaluation and advanced diagnostic tests, was diagnosed with localised but significant prostate cancer....
