LUCKNOW, April 11 -- A 35-year-old lab technician was allegedly shot dead by the son of a retired police head constable after a dispute at a family-run blood bank early Friday in Sitapur district, police said.
The accused, identified as Shivesh Singh (40), and the victim, Satish Yadav (35), worked at the same blood bank and pathology lab located on the ground floor of a two-storey house in the Naipalapur locality under Kotwali Dehat police.
Satish was employed as a lab technician, while Shivesh managed the operations of the lab owned by his father, Rajkumar Singh.
Circle officer (Sadar) Neha Tripathi said: "Police and the forensic team immediately reached the spot and collected evidence. During questioning, it came to light that the technician had been shot by the lab operator's son. The accused has been detained and is being questioned," she said.
Police said the two had ongoing disputes over work-related matters at the lab. htc...
