Jhansi, June 20 -- Uttar Pradesh deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Friday asserted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is on course to secure a third consecutive victory in the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections and claimed that thereafter, the Samajwadi Party (SP) will be reduced to a "Saifai Party". "After the UP elections, which we are going to win, SP's position will become even worse than TMC," he said. Addressing a press conference in Jhansi during his two-day visit ahead of chief minister Yogi Adityanath's scheduled visit, Maurya said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a ''Viksit Bharat' (Developed India) by 2047 has received overwhelming support from people across the country.
