Admissions open for only six paramedical courses in state
LUCKNOW, July 14 -- Candidates seeking admission to paramedical courses in Uttar Pradesh for the 2026-27 academic session can currently apply for only six courses, as approval from the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions (NCAHP) has been received only for these programmes.
A senior official of the Uttar Pradesh State Medical Faculty said admissions to the remaining courses would begin only after they receive approval from the national council. The Uttar Pradesh State Medical Faculty, which regulates allied healthcare and pharmacy diploma courses, has issued admission guidelines for the 2026-27 academic session on its website for government medical colleges and affiliated training centres across the state.
Several paramedical diploma courses are being phased out. Among them is the Diploma in X-Ray Technician, one of the oldest paramedical courses in Uttar Pradesh, which was introduced in 1954.
Admissions have not been permitted to the Diploma in X-Ray Technician course and more than 30 other courses as they are yet to receive approval from the national council.htc...
