LUCKNOW, April 1 -- Four months after its grand launch, Lucknow's heritage tour service came to an abrupt halt when its only double decker bus misjudged a bridge clearance near Husadiya Chauraha, leaving the city's tourism circuit temporarily suspended. The collision damaged the upper deck of the Lucknow Darshan E-Bus, forcing a three-day suspension. No passengers were aboard, averting injuries, officials said. Despite the bus going off the road after the accident, online ticket bookings for the heritage ride continued for some time. Passengers kept booking slots unaware that the service had already been suspended. "All bookings made during this period have been cancelled, with refunds processed," an official said on condition of anonymity. "The bus is undergoing repairs. Services will resume only after full restoration." Since this is the only bus operating the heritage circuit, the entire service remains suspended with no standby vehicle. A senior official said repair work could exceed one week, with no definite timeline set. "The damage to the upper portion requires considerable time for restoration," the official said, adding the halt is causing financial losses....
