948 posts for three varsities approved
LUCKNOW, Sept. 3 -- The Uttar Pradesh government has approved the creation of 468 non-teaching and 480 outsourcing posts in three newly formed universities-Guru Jambheshwar University (Moradabad), Maa Vindhyavasini University (Mirzapur) and Maa Pateshwari University (Balrampur)-in the state.
The decision to create the 948 temporary posts was taken during a state cabinet meeting held on Tuesday.
Higher education minister Yogendra Upadhyay said that this decision is an important initiative towards strengthening the universities as well as making the state a leading state in the field of education.
A total of 156 temporary non-teaching posts have been created in each university, which will remain effective till February 28, 2026 and can also be terminated as per requirement.
These posts include posts like pharmacist, electrician, junior engineer, stenographer, assistant accountant, junior assistant, lab technician, lab assistant, deputy registrar, assistant registrar, personal assistant, accountant, chief assistant, medical officer and staff nurse.
Recruitment for these posts will be done through the process of Subordinate Services Selection Commission, direct recruitment, promotion and deputation. Apart from this, 160 posts in each university will be filled through external service provider (outsourcing), which makes a total of 480 posts.
