LUCKNOW, Sept. 3 -- As many as 817 candidates participated in a job fair organised at Sarojini Nagar MLA Rajeshwar Singh's office on Wednesday, despite torrential rain. Organised under Bharat Rozgar Seva, the Bharat Rozgar Mahotsav connected trained youth directly with recruiters from companies, including Tata Motors, Adani Group, Airtel and Samsung. The candidates were interviewed under the "one candidate, one interview" model for jobs including trainee, data-entry operator, wireman, smart-meter installer, promoter, steward and field sales executive. A key feature was free digital and vocational training provided to several candidates at Ran Bahadur Singh Digital Centres before the interviews. Singh said the employment fair would be held every month. Candidates not selected will receive further training after assessment of their skill gaps and another opportunity at the next fair.
