Dehradun, Dec. 16 -- A 60-year-old retired deputy general manager from a public sector undertaking (PSU) alleged that he was duped of Rs.52.97 lakh in an online investment fraud by individuals impersonating representatives of a reputed financial services firm, police officers said. The FIR in connection with the matter was registered at cyber crime police station in Dehradun under relevant sections of the IT Act on Sunday. The complainant, Arun Kumar Bhaskar, a resident of Dehradun, stated that he was approached in October 2025 through WhatsApp by individuals identifying themselves as "Assistant Neha Nomura" and "Assistant Kavya Nomura," who offered investment opportunities in the share market with assured high returns....
