Agra, Sept. 3 -- Mathura is preparing to turn its night sky into a stage this Janmashtami, with 500 drones set to narrate the story of Krishna through a first-of-its-kind aerial show. The 'Krishna Leela' display will light up the skyline between 9 pm and 10 pm on September 4, adding a striking visual spectacle to celebrations in the twin religious cities of Mathura and Vrindavan. The Uttar Pradesh Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad (UPBTVP) will organise the drone show, while around 1,000 trained artistes will perform across 27 stages set up at different locations. They will be joined by nearly 350 street performers. Chief minister Yogi Adityanath is expected to arrive in Mathura and Vrindavan on Thursday night and is scheduled to visit Sri Krishna Janmasthan on Friday morning. District magistrate of Mathura Chandra Prakash Singh on Wednesday confirmed arrival of Adityanath on Thursday and his stay overnight here. During his two-day visit, he will inaugurate or lay foundation stones for 42 projects worth Rs 446 crore undertaken by the UPBTVP and Mathura Vrindavan Development Authority. The projects include eco-restoration of 30 hectares of forest on Sakhigiri mountain in Unchagaon, tourism facilities at Boddh Vihar and Deendayal Dham, conservation work at Dauji Temple, facade lighting along Vrindavan Parikrama Marg and tourism development in Goverdhan. Laxmi Nagappan, CEO of UPBTVP and vice chairperson of MVDA, said the celebrations aim to showcase Braj's folk traditions, music and cultural heritage alongside entertainment. Security has also been tightened at Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi, with senior police and administrative officials reviewing crowd control, traffic, CCTV coverage and sensitive points....
