LUCKNOW, July 29 -- Over 500 athletes will be seen in action in the 21st UP State Youth Athletics Championship, scheduled to be held on August 7 and 8, at the Madan Mohan Malviya Stadium in Prayagraj under the auspices of the UP Athletics Association. Besides all track and field events, the 5th Indian Javelin day will also be celebrated during the two-day championship. UPAA has made it mandatory for all participants to submit their entry as well as fee only through online process. Entry closes on August 4, states an UPAA circular. Selection trials to pick the Lucknow team for the state-level youth athletics competition will be held on August 1 under the supervision of the Lucknow District Athletic Association, at the KD Singh 'Babu' Stadium here at 8:00 a.m. Cantt Sporting Club and Tektro Reserves notched up convincing wins in the District Football League 2026, at the Chowk Stadium here on Tuesday. In the first match, Cantt Sporting Club defeated DCA Club 2-0. Arjun scored a hat-trick, netting goals in the 40th, 46th, and 49th minutes. In the second match, Tektro Reserve defeated SR Club by 5-0. Aditya scored in the 2nd and 25th minutes, while Daksh scored in the 6th, 27th, and 33rd minutes.
