Bhubaneswar, May 11 -- Odisha Police on Sunday suspended four personnel and transferred the inspector in charge of a police station in Bhubaneshwar, days after a mob lynched a Government Railway Police (GRP) constable over rape-attempt allegations, police said. On May 7, GRP constable Soumya Ranjan Swain, 32, was allegedly beaten to death by a mob near Ramachandrapur under Balianta police limits after he wad accused of attempting to rape a woman. Police had registered a case of rape.
