3rd RMLIMS Convocation on June 15; 340 degrees, 26 medals to be awarded
LUCKNOW, June 13 -- The Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (RMLIMS) will hold its Third Convocation Ceremony at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in Lucknow on June 15. The institute released the list of meritorious students to be honoured, on Friday. Governor Anandiben Patel will preside over the ceremony and confer gold, silver and bronze medals on 26 outstanding students from various academic programmes. In all, 340 successful candidates will receive degrees.
Prof CM Singh, director, RMLIMS, said that the medals and certificates will be awarded to meritorious students from MBBS, postgraduate and super-speciality courses, besides students from BSc Nursing and MSc Nuclear Medicine programmes.
The Chancellor's Medal and Director's Medal will also be presented. Among the awardees are MBBS students Akanksha Jain, Harman Singh, Vaishnavi Srivastava, Avantika Thakur and Deepak Kumar to name a few. Postgraduate medal recipients include Dr Deepika Ramola, Dr Anu, Dr Vikram Pratap Singh, Dr Shubhi Shukla, Dr Saurabh Yadav and Dr Akshay Kumar among others.
In the super-speciality category, Shikhar Garg (DM Cardiology), Dr Abhishek Mishra (MCh Urology) and Dr Vinay Sagar (DM Nephrology) will be honoured. Arvind N will receive the gold medal in MSc Nuclear Medicine, while Shikha Verma will be awarded the University Medal in BSc Nursing.
Educationist, Dr Ved Prakash Mishra, national academic head of the Indian Programme of the Unesco Chair in Bioethics, will be the chief guest. Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak and minister of state Mayankeshwar Sharan Singh will attend the event as guests of honour....
