Agra, June 24 -- A 35-year-old married woman was arrested and sent to jail on charges of sexually assaulting and criminally intimidating a 17-year-old boy at a village within limits of Iglas police station of Aligarh. The victim lives nearby and is the nephew of the husband of the accused. The police came into action after the mother of the minor victim boy lodged a complaint. "The accused is a 35-year-old married woman having two children. Her husband works in a private company in Delhi. The victim is a 17-year-old nephew of her husband and lives near the house of the accused woman," stated deputy superintendent of police, Kamlesh Kumar on Tuesday. "The accused woman initially lured the minor victim boy when he was merely 14 years old and continued to sexually exploit him for the past about two and a half years. She used to blackmail the minor victim," said Kamlesh Kumar. The accused woman threatened the minor victim boy that she will get him jailed on rape charges if he chose to stay away or let others know about their relation. Since recently, the woman began pressuring the victim boy to get married to her after which the boy narrated the ordeal to his mother who lodged a complaint at Iglas police station of Aligarh. "The POCSO Act safeguards interest of minors below 18 years of age, either a boy or a girl, against any kind of sexual abuse and thus case number 306 of 2026 was registered under section 3 and 4 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act beside Section 351(3) (aggravated criminal intimidation) of Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Iglas police station was lodged against the accused woman," said the DSP. "The certificate of class 10th examination of the victim boy reveals that he is a minor. The accused woman was arrested on Monday and was presented before the court in Aligarh and was sent to jail on orders of court for judicial custody," he said....
