LUCKNOW, July 9 -- Around 3.83 crore sapling will be planted under the Aviral Dhara plantation initiative in over 22,240 hectares of land in the catchment areas of 13 rivers. The state has planned to plant 35 crore saplings on July 12 under the mega drive, while over 5 crore sapling have already been planted on June 5. A total 79.86 lakh saplings will be planted in 4,495 hectares land along the Ganga banks and 1.08 crore saplings across 6,531.77 hectares at 647 sites along the Yamuna banks, said head of forest force in UP Sunil Chaudhary. A total of 2,673 sites have been identified within a 5-km radius of the catchment areas of 13 rivers and over 38.3 million saplings will be planted across an area exceeding 22,240 hectares.htc...
