KANPUR, July 16 -- A three-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a man on a moving roadways bus in Chitrakoot district on Tuesday afternoon, police said on Wednesday. The accused was arrested late in the night. Officials said the accused, identified as Raj Kishor, 28, a resident of Govind Nagar in Manikpur, was arrested near Agrahuda village late Tuesday night and remanded to judicial custody by a local court on Wednesday. According to police, the child, along with her mother, was travelling from Prayagraj to their village when the accused, seated adjacent to them, made the girl sit in his lap around noon, under the pretext of feeding her and allegedly molested and raped her. The victim's mother raised an alarm when she noticed her daughter in distress and bleeding from her private parts. "The victim's mother alerted the bus conductor, and the bus was stopped near the Raipura police station where a complaint was lodged," Chitrakoot SP Arun Kumar Singh said, adding that a medical examination confirmed sexual assault....
