3 UP teachers selected for Nat'l Award 2025
LUCKNOW, Aug. 22 -- Three government school teachers from Uttar Pradesh are among 48 teachers selected for the National Teachers' Award, 2026, announced by the ministry of education, government of India, on Friday.
They are: Renu Tripathi of Government Balika Inter College at Ghaziabad; Iftekhar Khan of Government Inter College, Ballia and Shalini Kushwaha of Composite School, Kaushambi. They will be honoured for their exemplary work in the field of education on the occasion of Teachers' Day on September 5. Each award carries a certificate of merit, a cash award of Rs 50,000 and a silver medal.
Shalini Kushwaha said the award has given recognition to her school and to the hard work of her teachers. Iftekhar Khan, the other UP teacher selected for the award this year, said it is a huge honour for him.
