3 illegal madrasas demolished in Shravasti
LUCKNOW, June 19 -- The Shravasti district administration has taken action against three illegally operating madrasas, demolishing unauthorised structures as part of an ongoing enforcement drive, according to a press note issued by the state government media cell on Wednesday.
The press note stated that Madarsa Islamia Arabia Awarul Uloom Bangai, located in village Fatehpur Bangai, was functioning without authorisation on government land. Acting on a court order dated May 28, 2025, the administration demolished the structure.Similarly, Madarsa Gausia Tajul Uloom, situated in village Rampur Basti, was found to be occupying land designated as 'Khalihan' without permission. In this case, madrasa authorities voluntarily removed the unauthorised construction.Another madrasa, Madarsa Gausia Faizane Raza Shamshul, located in the same village in the hamlet of Nagaigao, was also operating on government land without authorisation. The madrasa authorities voluntarily demolished the structure.A senior district official said the administration is committed to enforcing the law and ensuring that all educational institutions operate within the legal framework. He emphasised that the action is part of a broader effort to protect government land from unauthorised occupation and illegal construction.The official added that the administration will continue monitoring and taking appropriate action against any unauthorised constructions or institutions operating outside the law.
