3 held with over 1 kg of illegal narcotics in Mirzapur
VARANASI, April 10 -- Three drug peddlers carrying 1.170 kg ( one kg one seventy gram) of illegal narcotics (MDMA) were arrested near the Bhainsa Canal T-point within the jurisdiction of Kachhwa Police Station in Mirzapur district on Thursday, police said.
Superintendent of police, Mirzapur, Aparna Rajat Kaushik said that three accused were identified as Indresh Kumar Singh alias 'Bulla', Vineet Singh alias 'Vikas Singh', and Amit Kumar Singh alias 'Sipahi' of village Bareini, under Kachhwa Police Station of Mirzapur.
Apart from illegal drugs, four mobile phones, and Rs.600 was also recovered from the possession of the accused.
A case against the three accused under sections 8/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Kachhwa Police Station, said the police.
During interrogation, the accused revealed that they had purchased the narcotic substance from an individual in the Bhadohi district and were transporting it to the Varanasi district area to sell at a higher price when they were apprehended, said police. htc...
