Kolkata, July 7 -- Police on Monday arrested three people and detained three others for questioning in connection with the rape and murder of a 12-year-old girl in West Bengal's Baruipur, even as prohibitory orders preventing large gatherings were imposed in parts of the Kolkata suburb. Three more were being questioned. A six-member SIT has been set up. Four FIRs have been registered, including one related to the alleged rape and murder of the girl and the lynching of a man.
