Bikaner, July 20 -- Three people, including an aunt and her five-year-old niece, were killed and eight others were seriously injured after a private bus collided with an SUV on National Highway 11 in Rajasthan's Bikaner district on Sunday afternoon, police said. The accident took place in the Sridungargarh police station area on the Bikaner-Jaipur highway. According to police, the bus was travelling from Bikaner to Jaipur, while the Bolero was heading towards Sridungargarh when the two vehicles collided. All eight injured were in the Bolero and were referred to PBM Hospital for advanced treatment. Sridungargarh SHO Kashyap Singh said the family was returning to Gunsaisar village in Napasar after offering prayers at the Touliasar Bhairuji temple when the accident occurred. The deceased were identified as Bolero driver Daniram (45), Megha (16), and her five-year-old niece. Police have started an investigation to ascertain the cause of the accident.
