27-year-old held with forged marksheets in Varanasi
VARANASI, Sept. 6 -- Police arrested a 27-year-old man, a wanted accused allegedly involved in forging and possessing educational records, near Kapsethi crossing in Varanasi, officials said on Saturday. Six forged marksheets were recovered from his possession, they added.
Kapsethi police station SHO Sub-Inspector Vikas Kumar Maurya said a police team was patrolling the area when it received a tip-off about the presence of accused Ravi Maurya. Acting on the information, the team reached Kapsethi Crossing and arrested the 27-year-old.
Police said they received a complaint alleging that Ravi Maurya was involved in creating forged marksheets.
A subsequent probe revealed that Maurya had fabricated the records to alter his date of birth. Investigators also found that educational documents had been prepared using different names.htc...
