27 UP districts lag in online school attendance
PRAYAGRAJ, Oct. 3 -- Online attendance remains poor in 27 districts of Uttar Pradesh, with 30% or fewer UP Board-affiliated schools recording the attendance of students, teachers and non-teaching staff through the board's digital system.
A review conducted on September 30 found low compliance in districts, including Lucknow, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Agra, Ayodhya, Kanpur Nagar, Prayagraj and Sultanpur, among others.
Taking note of the poor compliance, UP Board additional secretary (administration) Satyendra Kumar Singh directed the concerned district inspectors of schools (DIoSs) to ensure 100% online daily attendance on every working day.
The UP Board has made online attendance mandatory since July 2025 through its web portal and mobile application. The review covered more than 29,000 affiliated schools.htc...
