Lucknow, May 20 -- Continuing its probe into the alleged abetment to suicide of 31-year-old salon manager Ratna Singh, the Gomti Nagar Extension police have arrested two women accused who had been absconding in the case and carried cash rewards of Rs 25,000 each on their arrest. Ratna Singh, who worked as a salon manager, died by suicide on May 12 at her apartment in the upscale Shalimar One World residential complex in Gomti Nagar Extension. Before taking the extreme step, she allegedly recorded a video and shared it with friends, accusing five individuals of subjecting her to mental and physical harassment. DCP, East Zone, Deeksha Sharma, said the investigation revealed that Ratna had been under continuous mental stress allegedly inflicted by the accused persons, which ultimately drove her to take her life. "As part of the ongoing crackdown, police had earlier arrested co-accused Mangalnath Yadav on May 14, followed by the arrest of Sharad Singh and Prashant Sharma on May 17. All three were sent to judicial custody," said the DCP. DCP Sharma added that the remaining accused - Pallavi Joshi and Vaishali Singh - had been absconding since the registration of the case, prompting the police to announce a reward of Rs 25,000 each for information leading to their arrest. The DCP who is personally supervising the case, said that Vaishali Singh, 21, a resident of Musafirkhana in Amethi district, was traced and arrested on May 18 from Room No. 203 on the third floor of Hotel Vijay Shri in Vinamra Khand near Amity School in Gomti Nagar. Another police team travelled to Mumbai after obtaining necessary legal permissions to trace co-accused Pallavi Joshi, wife of Sharad Singh and a resident of Vishwas Khand, Gomti Nagar. With the assistance of Oshiwara police in Mumbai and technical surveillance inputs, Pallavi Joshi, 38, was arrested from Mumbai....
