Kanpur, March 11 -- Three motorcycle riders, two of them teenagers, were killed in a late-night accident on the Kanpur-Aligarh national highway in Kannauj on Tuesday when a tractor first rammed into a bike and then overturned onto another. Police said the accident took place near the Kalu Mama shrine in the Jalalpur Panwara area under Sadar Kotwali area around midnight. A farmer from Mawai village was returning home with a tractor-trolley when the vehicle collided with a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction. The bike was being ridden by Shehbaz 16 of Inayatpur village, who was travelling towards the town along with his neighbour Abdul Ahad 13. Both teenagers were thrown onto the road in the impact and died on the spot. After the collision, the tractor driver lost control of the vehicle. The tractor swerved and overturned onto another motorcycle passing nearby, killing its rider, Amit 36, instantly, police said. A fourth person, Raju, 46, of Mawai Raiyyak, was seriously injured in the accident and has been admitted to the district hospital. (HTC)...
