LUCKNOW, May 23 -- Two people were killed and several others injured after a private bus carrying pilgrims from Andhra Pradesh overturned in Sitapur district on Friday morning, police said. The accident took place near Bargadiya village under Sandana police station limits. The bus was returning from Naimisharanya and heading towards Lucknow when it collided with a motorcycle on the Misrikh road and later overturned into a roadside ditch. Police said motorcycle rider Om Prakash, 50, a resident of the Sandana area, died on the spot. His wife, Jaydevi, suffered serious injuries. Another victim, identified as Shivkumar, 40, who was travelling in the bus and was reportedly the tour organiser, later died during treatment.
