Varanasi, July 11 -- A Varanasi Cyber Crime police team on Friday arrested 19 members of an interstate gang that had been swindling unemployed youth. The group promised victims jobs with a monthly salary of Rs.25,000, operating through a fake multi-level marketing (MLM) and pyramid scheme network. Police recovered 20 mobile phones and two cars from the suspects. Addressing a press conference, DCP (Crime) Neetu Kadyan and ACP Vidush Saxena identified the accused as Deepak Kumar Shah (31, Bihar), Suraj Yadav (21), Mohd. Saeed Akram (27), Deepak (25), Jitendra Kushwaha (24), Virendra Prasad Verma (29), Abhishek Ahirwar (19), Satyendra Kumar Yadav (23), Kanhaiya Kumar Shah alias Krishna Shah (21), Monu Kumar (29), Mohd. Sonu (25), Rakesh Kumar (21), Rohit (20), Utkarsh Singh (21), Vivek Kumar Singh (28), Bhagwan Das alias Arjun (18), Mohd. Shahbaz (29), Pinku Kumar (23), and Golu Kumar (20). According to the police, 12 of the accused are from Bihar, six from Uttar Pradesh, and one from Madhya Pradesh. In a swift operation, the police also rescued approximately 300 trainees, young men and women seeking employment from the gang's control. ACP Saxena stated that the gang operated an organized cyber network under the guise of franchises for two fraudulent companies: "Mahadev Enterprises" and "Royal Health India / Royal Health We Private Limited."...
