12 booked for assault at LPG office: Police
Haridwar, April 28 -- Police have registered a case against 12 people, including one identified accused, for allegedly creating a ruckus, abusing and assaulting staff at an LPG agency office in the Pathri area of Haridwar district, officials said on Monday.
According to police, the incident took place at Hari Ganga Bahtay Gas Agency located in Sukhrasa village under the jurisdiction of Pathri police station.
Officials said the main accused, Rajat Kumar, a resident of Ibrahimpur village, had reached the LPG agency at around 9:30 am and allegedly got into an argument with agency staff over the delayed delivery of an LPG cylinder. Police said that after the initial dispute, Rajat left the premises but returned shortly afterwards along with 11 other accomplices.
The group allegedly carried wooden sticks and belts and began abusing and assaulting the agency personnel....
