PURNEA, Sept. 9 -- A 10-year-old student died in the hostel of a private madrasa in Bihar's Supaul after allegedly due to food poisoning after consuming a meal, police said on Tuesday. According to police, four girls fell ill after they consumed a meal in the hostel on Monday evening, and they were taken to a private clinic for treatment. "One girl died whereas three other girls are still undergoing treatment...prima facie food poisoning is the reason behind the incident but we are looking into the matter from all possible angles," they said. Meanwhile, madrasa director Khalil Rahman alleged that the girls fell ill after they had some snacks offered by the mother of the deceased. Police said an investigation into the matter is underway.
