Lucknow, March 25 -- Ten people, including two women, were injured in a head-on collision between two cars in Lucknow's Thakurganj area, early on Tuesday morning, police said. The accident occurred near Chor Ghati petrol pump when two cars collided around 5 am. One of the vehicles was carrying residents of Saadatganj, who were returning from Bareilly after a religious visit when the crash took place. Police said the impact was severe, leaving both vehicles badly damaged. Locals rushed to the spot after hearing the collision and informed the police. Rescue teams pulled out those trapped inside and shifted them to nearby hospitals. One of the drivers, Subhash Sahu, and others were admitted to KGMU Trauma Centre, while occupants of the other car - Anubhav Sharma, Vaibhav Sharma, Mohammad Sohel and Mohammad Ateeq - were admitted to private hospitals. Station house officer Omveer Singh Chauhan said no complaint had been received so far. The police are investigating the cause of the accident....
