LUCKNOW, Sept. 5 -- Governor Anandiben Patel inaugurated the 22nd National Book Fair at Balrampur Gardens on Thursday. The fair, featuring literary and cultural activities, will continue till September 14. The governor visited stalls set up around the theme "Vision 2047: Developed India, Developed State" and purchased books including the Ramayan, Mahabharat, works of Vivekanand, and Chicago. Publishers also presented her with a set of nine books such as Maa Ahilyabai, Nar se Narayan, and Tatvamasi. Apurva Shah from Ahmedabad gifted her a miniature one-inch Gita Gutka. Convenor Manoj Singh Chandel noted that in the past 22 years, the fair has been inaugurated by dignitaries, including former president APJ Abdul Kalam and former governors Vishnukant Shastri and Ram Naik. The fair, open from 11am to 9pm with free entry, showcases several Hindi and English titles in new formats. Major publishers participating include Vani, Bharatiya Gyanpeeth, Prabhat, Rajkamal, Sasta Sahitya Mandal, Prakashan Sansthan, Publication Department, Gautam Book, and Bharatiya Kala Prakashan....
