0-50 metre visibility grips parts of Uttar Pradesh; more disruptions likely till Dec 18
LUCKNOW, Dec. 17 -- Large parts of Uttar Pradesh including the state capital witnessed dense fog on Tuesday morning triggering multiple accidents due to poor visibility.
According to scientists at the Lucknow Meteorological Department Mohammad Danish, Tuesday saw visibility dropping from 0-50 metres at many places in the state, including in Lucknow. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said that similar conditions are likely to persist till December 18 particularly in eastern and north-eastern districts of the state. According to the IMD's fog impact-based forecast issued from the Lucknow meteorological centre, weather remained dry on Monday, but visibility dropped sharply late in the night.
