'UP bridging the gap between industry needs and skill training'
Lucknow, Aug. 28 -- Uttar Pradesh is partnering with the top five industrial units in each district to bridge the gap between industry needs and skill training, officials said on Wednesday.
Announcing the initiative during the session 'Industry Needs vs Skill Ecosystem - Bridging the Gap' at IGP, Gomti Nagar, on the second day of Rozgar Mahakumbh 2025, UP Skill Development Mission director Pulkit Khare said the move aims to align training with local employment demands and create job opportunities within districts.
He said that the Skill Development Mission is constantly trying to ensure that every youth of the state gets employment for which we are working on the goal of 'Sabko Hunar, Sabko Kaam'.
He said that through skilling, re-skilling and up-skilling, not only the requirement of traditional industries is being met but training is also being provided keeping in mind the technical demands of the future.
He said that the state government has analysed future industrial projects in collaboration with Invest UP.
Futuristic job roles have been identified in accordance with these projects and targets have been set for skill training on that basis. This initiative will ensure that the youth of the state are trained as soon as new industrial projects come up..
It was also mentioned in the session that the youth will be trained in areas of new age technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Automation, Data Analytics, Digital Marketing, Electric Vehicles and Smart Manufacturing. This will make them fully prepared to get employment in future industries and become self-reliant....
