Dehradun, Sept. 12 -- The Uttarakhand government will organise the month-long 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' from September 17 to October 17, with the campaign aimed at connecting citizens with the resolve of 'Viksit Bharat 2047' through service, public participation, dialogue and innovation, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said on Friday. Addressing a press conference at the Secretariat in Dehradun, Dhami said the campaign would begin on September 17, the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and continue until October 17. He said that every citizen had an important role to play in achieving the goal of a developed India and that the campaign would seek to make people active participants in this resolve. The chief minister said, "11 major programmes had been proposed under the campaign, with participation planned for students, youth, women, beneficiaries, parents, public representatives, social organisations and citizens. The programmes will also communicate decisions taken by the state government and highlight the changes brought about in people's lives through various central and state government schemes". Under the 'Aashirwad Ka Diya' (Lamp of Blessings) programme, lamp-lighting ceremonies and collective events will be organised at government scheme centres, gas distribution centres, ration shops, major religious sites, along the banks of the Ganga and at other locations. Collective programmes will also be held at new medical colleges, dams and bridges, Amrit Sarovars and Jan Aushadhi Kendras, with the participation of social organisations, he said. He said that 'Mere Sapno Ka Bharat - Chitra Seva' (India of My Dreams - Art Initiative) will involve painting, essay-writing and speech competitions in educational institutions around the theme of Viksit Bharat and the achievements of the past 25 years. Selected paintings will be displayed in schools, while parents and citizens will also be involved through exhibitions. Under 'Namo Seva-Anakahi Kahaniyan ' (Namo Service -Untold Stories) plays based on the nation's achievements will be staged in schools. The 'Angan Milan Seva' initiative will involve children, parents, Anganwadi workers and ASHA workers at Anganwadi centres. Special emphasis will be placed on spreading information about maternal and child health, nutrition and maternal-infant welfare. Parents will also be personally invited to participate in the programmes, he said. Dhami said the changes brought about in the lives of beneficiaries through central and state government schemes would be highlighted through 'stories of service' using speeches, painting competitions and storytelling. Under the 'Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra', a ceremonial Kalash (urn) dedicated to the resolve of Viksit Bharat 2047 will be installed at a prominent intersection. The programme will also feature bicycle and motorcycle rallies. The 'Seva: Mera Yogdan' (Service: My Contribution) programme will encourage citizens to contribute to society through activities such as tree plantation, cleanliness drives and teaching, among other socially beneficial services. The aim is to make people active participants in the campaign rather than merely recipients of government initiatives. The CM said the 'Seva Ke Rang, Rashtra Ke Sang' programme will showcase the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 through Rangoli art. Meanwhile, the 'Seva First Innovation Challenge' will seek to identify real-life problems in collaboration with central and state government departments....
