'Chaturangini Sena will protect cows, Brahmins'
VARANASI, March 24 -- Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati on Monday announced the formation of Shankaracharya Chaturangini Sena for the protection of cows, Brahmins and vulnerable Sanatanis. Addressing a press conference at Shri Vidya Math in Varanasi, he said, "In today's transitional period, when atrocities are increasing on Sanatan Dharma symbols like Gau Mata (cow), learned Brahmins and weak Sanatanis, mere discussions on scriptures are not enough."
"We announce the formation of Shankaracharya Chaturangini (Shancha). With this, the process of forming the army has started. It will be purely dedicated to the protection of religious symbols like cow, Brahmin and weak Sanatani standing at the last rung of society," he added.
He said the main objective of the Chaturangini Sena will be to completely allay the Hindu society's fear. "When the society believes that a well-organised and scripture-equipped military force is standing behind it, only then will it be able to follow the path of religion without fear and stand firm," the seer added.
The sena will have a strength of 2,18,700 soldiers and volunteers. They will be clad in yellow and carry weapons according to their ranks. It will take around 10 months in its formation, the seer said. It will be operated based on a nine-tier hierarchy rooted in ancient Indian military science, Saraswati said. A supreme head commander, under whose authority three-a chief, a co-chief and a joint chief representing male, female, and third-gender individuals respectively-will function to maintain social and religious equilibrium, he said....
