Dharamshala, April 22 -- Two persons were killed after the vehicle they were travelling in plunged into a deep gorge in the Karsog area, near Taraur, of Mandi district, police said on Tuesday. The mishap occurred on Tatapani-Karsog road. The deceased have been identified as Sunil Kumar, 22, and Pawan Kumar, 19, both residents of Karsog, they said. Cops said they received information about an accident on Tuesday morning, following which a team from Karsog police station was immediately rushed to the spot. "Upon arrival, it was found that the vehicle had plunged into a deep gorge. With the assistance of fire services personnel and local residents, a search operation was conducted around 500 metres down the slope, during which the two occupants were found dead," police said. A case has been registered at Karsog police station under Sections 281 and 106 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Post-mortem examinations were conducted at Civil Hospital, Karsog, after which the bodies were handed over to the families for last rites. Police said the investigation is ongoing.htc...
