Jammu, July 16 -- Security forces launched a joint search operation and busted a terrorist hideout in the forward Garha village of Poonch's Sawjian sector in Mandi tehsil, police said on Wednesday. Acting on specific intelligence inputs, a team comprising the Jammu and Kashmir Police, the army, and the Central Reserve Police Force unearthed the hidden cache, recovering 246 rounds of general purpose machine gun (PIKA rifle) ammunition. The hideout was subsequently destroyed and the ammunition was seized, though no arrests have been made in connection with the recovery.
