Jammu, June 14 -- The Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police and the National Security Guard (NSG) successfully conducted a week-long joint training exercise--Shakti Sangam--on Saturday, officials said. The exercise aimed to enhance operational preparedness, strengthen inter-agency coordination, and improve response capabilities against evolving security threats, an official spokesperson said. "During the training programme, personnel underwent rigorous and specialised modules covering a wide spectrum of counter-terrorism and tactical operations. Key areas of training included intervention tactics, hostage rescue operations, employment of force multipliers, handling and deployment of bomb disposal equipment, counter-drone measures, use of night vision devices (NVDs), and live firing practices," he added.
