Raids carried out in 6 Kashmir districts in terror related case
Srinagar, June 4 -- The Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) of Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday launched searches at multiple locations across the Kashmir Valley, including Kulgam, Anantnag, Srinagar, Bandipora, Sopore, and Kupwara, in a case related to terror activities.
The searches were carried out in connection with a first information report registered at police station CIK Srinagar, pertaining to terrorist activities and support networks operating in the Kashmir Valley.
Speaking about the raids, a spokesperson said the CIK conducted searches at the residential premises of certain suspects who had surfaced during the course of the investigation through analysis, source reports, and preliminary inquiry. Search warrants were issued by the court, the spokesperson added.
"The operation was undertaken to collect evidence and seize electronic devices, digital records, and other incriminating material relevant to the investigation into alleged links with terrorist handlers and involvement in activities prejudicial to the sovereignty and integrity of the nation," he added.
"During the searches, various electronic gadgets, documents, and other materials were seized. Investigation in the case is continuing."...
