Rahul Gandhi likely to visit Kangra on April 30
Dharamshala, April 23 -- Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is expected to visit Kangra to attend the concluding session of the party's training workshop on April 30 , Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) chief Vinay Kumar said.
Addressing mediapersons in Dharamshala, Kumar said that Congress general secretary KC Venugopal is also likely to attend the workshop on April 26.
The party is conducting a 10-day training workshop for its district presidents from Himachal and neighbouring Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir. The workshop began on April 21 and will conclude on April 30.
"The training workshop is being organised by the AICC, and district presidents from three states are participating. There are around 80 participants. The Congress has been organising such programmes regularly. Prominent leaders of the party will deliver lectures, as this is a training workshop for the new district presidents. We want to familiarise them with historical facts and our policies," he said, adding that presidents from Punjab and J&K are also attending.
