Dharamshala, June 13 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Shimla, office has forecast light to moderate rainfall across the state till June 18 and issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds in several districts of the state from June 13 to 16. According to the weather office, light to moderate rain is likely at many places in the state on June 13 and a few places from June 14 to 18. In the past 24 hours, 11cm of rain was recorded in Kasauli, followed by Dharampur (9 cm), Palampur (4 cm), Solan (3 cm), Pachhad (3 cm), Paonta (3 cm), Seobagh (2 cm), Shimla (2 cm) and Jogindarnagar (1 cm). Thunderstorms and lightning were observed in Shimla, Bhuntar, Sundernagar, Mandi, Jubberhatti and Kufri, while hailstorms were reported in Kumarsain and Malana.
