Drug peddler's property worth Rs.33.5L attached
JAMMU, May 31 -- Police on Saturday attached properties worth Rs 33.5 lakh of a drug peddler under the NDPS Act in Rajouri district, said officials.
"In a major crackdown against drug trafficking, Rajouri police attached movable and immovable properties worth nearly Rs 33.5 lakh belonging to a notorious accused involved in multiple NDPS cases and booked under the PIT-NDPS Act," said a police spokesperson.
The drug peddler was identified as Munshi Khan of Rajouri. The properties confiscated included a single storey residential house valued at nearly Rs 30 lakh and an electric auto valued at nearly Rs 3.50 lakh.
"The attachment was carried out under the provisions of Section 68-F of the NDPS Act by Police Station Rajouri after completion of all due legal formalities," he said. htc...
