Drug peddler's property worth Rs.1.5 crore attached in Srinagar
Srinagar, May 20 -- : Police on Tuesday attached property worth Rs.1.50 crore belonging to a drug peddler under the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan.
Police said that in an intensified crackdown against drug trafficking and narcotics-related activities, they have attached a residential house along with adjoining land measuring 7 marlas, worth approximately Rs.1.50 crore, belonging to notorious drug peddler Owais Amin Denthoo of Parimpora.
"The property has been attached under the relevant provisions of the NDPS Act in connection with FIR No. 32/2026 U/S 8/22, 29 NDPS Act registered at Police Station Parimpora. During the investigation, it was established that the said property had been acquired through proceeds generated from illicit drug trafficking activities. The attachment has been executed as part of the sustained efforts of Srinagar Police to dismantle the narcotics ecosystem and curb the growing menace of drug abuse in society," the statement said.
Meanwhile, police also sealed a chemist shop in Anantnag for violations during an inspection drive. htc...
