Dhali-Rampur four-lane survey completed: Sukhu
Dharamshala, June 8 -- Himachal Pradesh chief minister (CM) Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Sunday said the survey work to upgrade the Dhali-Narkanda-Rampur road into a four-lane highway has been completed.
He said tunnel construction would be prioritised in the project to minimise landslide damage and ensure safe travel, after paying obeisance at the Hatu Mata Temple in Shimla. The state government is making concerted efforts to promote religious tourism across the state, which is home to several revered temples, he added.
The chief minister further stated that the Himachal Pradesh government is actively pursuing the construction of the Hatu Mata Ropeway and the project has been proposed under NABARD. The project may take three to four years to materialise, but government is committed to implementing it on priority, he said. Sukhu informed that funds have been sanctioned for improving the Hatu Mata road, with special emphasis on avoiding tree felling while ensuring better facilities for devotees.
CM Sukhu said that all HRTC pensioners would receive their pension between 7th to 10th every month and to facilitate this the state government will provide a monthly grant of Rs.Rs. 23 crore.
