Cong protest in Jammu against arrest of IYC chief
Jammu, Feb. 26 -- A strong protest demonstration was held in Jammu city by Congress party including, Youth Congress, Mahila congress and other frontal wings, DCC Urban and Rural against the arrest of IYC president Uday Bhanu Chib.
The protesting party leaders, and workers, led by working president Raman Bhalla and other senior leaders besides former ministers and legislators, raised slogans against Modi government and BJP.
The party termed Chib's arrest as "illegal, unjustified and dictatorial action of BJP government "and demanded his immediate release.
Chib, the national president of the Indian Youth Congress, was arrested after several rounds of questioning in connection with the shirtless protest at Bharat Mandapan during the recent AI Impact Summit.
Bhalla lashed out at the Modi government for alleged undeclared emergency in the country where peaceful protestors were booked under heinous offences to keep them in jail. He said IYC activists held a peaceful expressions of the anger of youth and countrymen against the compromises by Prime Minister under pressure of US President Donald Trump for obvious reasons putting the livelihoods of youth and farmers at stake....
