Cong condemns Kangana's remarks against Gen Z, female students
Shimla, July 30 -- The Himachal Pradesh Congress unit on Wednesday criticised BJP MP Kangana Ranaut's statement regarding Gen Z and female students.
Describing the statements as "highly shameful and unbecoming", Congress national spokesperson Kuldeep Singh Rathore questioned the BJP's national leadership and demanded that the BJP national president clarify whether Kangana's remarks represent the party's official position. If not, he said, immediate disciplinary action should be taken against her.
Addressing a press conference in Shimla on Wednesday, Rathore said that Kangana had made derogatory remarks about the appearance, character, and conduct of young women and female students participating in the ongoing protests and even used words such as "gutter" to describe them. Such remarks, he said, have deeply hurt the dignity and self-respect of every daughter and sister in the country. He added that such language is completely unacceptable from an electedpublic representative, particularly a woman Member of Parliament....
