Dharamshala, June 24 -- A Class 11 student of a private school allegedly ended his life in the Sujanpur area of Himachal's Hamirpur district, police officials said on Tuesday. The incident occurred on Monday night, they said, adding that the victim was staying with his father at a rented accommodation in Sujanpur. The student was enrolled at a private school in Alampur, about 40 km from Palampur in Kangra district. Police said they received information about the incident late on Monday night. A purported suicide note was recovered, said police,adding that it is being investigated. Meanwhile, a large number of people including the victim's family members gathered on the school premises onTuesday and staged a protest, demanding a fair and thorough investigation into the matter. "The contents of the suicide note are not entirely clear.We have registered a case at the Sujanpur police station and are conducting a detailed investigation into the incident," a senior police officer further informed....
